There are a multitude of fishing knots out there, too many to list.
However, in my humble opinion, I just go with two fishing knots in my fishing journeys. These are very durable, and I use them, literally, ninety-nine percent of all my tying needs. The one percent that I use would be to attach a line to another line, like a uni to uni, but I do not do this often. If you would like a write up on this knot or others just ask me.
I use two primary knots: the Fisherman’s knot (clinch knot) and the Palomar knot.
The biggest reason I use the Fisherman’s knot is that I can tie it with wet hands. Plus, it is very easy to tie and master to do.
The Palomar knot is my second go-to just to have choices.
